It is definitely getting to be fall. I finally had to close my window last night. So there'll be no more of someone clamoring to sit on the windowsill anymore.



Hopefully I can get to spray painting tomorrow, because it's supposed to be semi-nice out. I guess Button can just cram herself into a Converse box instead of onto the windowsill.



By the way, my stupid headphones still have not come in the mail. I ordered & paid for them ten days ago. It finally stopped raining too so I might get to go on a bike ride tonight after work.

Another cold, blustery, rainy day. And it's still September! Blah. I hate it. The only thing a day like this is good for is soup, tea, hot baths and reading. All four of which I did. I finished reading a book called Empty World by John Christopher. It's a YA book, but it was pretty good. A fast read, of course.



For lunch I made some soup and some Peppermint Chai tea. First time I've had the peppermint chai. It was ok, I'm not sure I would buy it again though. It was the liquid Oregon brand, the only kind I like, and I found it at Big Lots for only $1.80.

& I looked up the Simpsons DVD on eBay and Amazon and so now I might try to sell it. I like the movie and everything, but I'm not desperate to own it obviously, and I don't really care about the shirt which I'm sure is just the wrong size.

Time to go to work! Fun fun fun fun fun. Haha or not. & I'm already running late! I didn't plan on posting now, I got on my computer to try to watch the Office from last week, but both Hulu and NBC.com failed me big time. I kind of intended to complain about that some here but I got distracted by finishing my soup.

So I broke another pair of headphones. To be fair, they had been half broken for a while, only one side worked, but they are now totally useless. Somehow the thing just pulled apart. They were Sony, and one side had little ridges, so you could tell them apart without looking. I think they were between nine and twelve dollars when I got them at Target, and they had a very good quality of sound for that price. I'm almost glad they broke because I knew it was only a matter of time and I got a little bit of yellow spray paint on them so they looked grimy all the time. They were good while they lasted though.

I thought about rushing out to target to get yet another pair (I still have three pair around the house that have only one side working) but I decided to look on eBay first. I found someone selling alleged Apple brand headphones for only $8.99 with free shipping. The seller claims they are just a discontinued model and that's why they are so cheap. So I ordered some and now I'm waiting with my fingers crossed, hoping I didn't get ripped off. And maybe if they are the real deal I'll buy another pair as back up. We'll see.

I found these at the thrift store & thought they were pretty cute. Sure, they are kind of jacked in some areas but they were cheap so I decided they were worth it. The lid to one of them had black paint on the inside that was chipping but I scrubbed it all out.
