This picture was taken because my wireless mouse died. Or possibly I killed it. It stopped working after I cleaned it one day so I had to drag out a wired mouse (which I don't really like). But this picture got 12 views on flickr. The only thing it is tagged with is cameraphone, so I don't know what is going on there.

[ps, like my mouse pad?]

Did you ever wonder what it was like to not have internet access at your home for basically two weeks? I never have to wonder that again. And yes, I am online now, but no, the problem is not solved yet. Tomorrow I go to buy a new wireless router. I don't know what I'll do if that doesn't fix the problem. Probably cry. Just kidding. Maybe.

This randomly came to me in the mail last week. So weird. Weirder still is that I actually applied. And I hope I get the job, even though it's mostly the elderly that run those booths. What if I don't get the job though? I think I'd be disappointed. Fingers crossed!

I wasn't going to do a 2009 recap but... we're only twelve days in so what the hey. May as well? I headed over to my flickr, and I'm choosing one photo from each month.

January

I went to the Lake branch of the Stark County Public Library. The door says 7A because it's connected to a school.

February

I finished knitting a scarf I was making for a friend. It was the first thing I started knitting, it is ugly (I had cruddy yarn at the time), and the only reason I finished it is because my friend claimed she wanted it while I was working on it. Otherwise it would have been scrapped. It was before I knew how to purl. And check out those cruddy knitting needles. I'm not saying I trashed them, but I am saying I would be damned if I used them ever again.

March

Went to a bar to see my friends' band play.

April

I went to the Goodwill in Kent for the first time, and found everything to be over-priced. This, however, was only one dollar!
[this was also the month in which I learned how to purl]

May

In May I went on some hikes in some Metro Parks. This photo was taken on my birthday, according to flickr, though I do not remember being there on my birthday.

June

Mistakes were made.

July

Good lunches were made.

August

Went to a few of my friend's roller derby bouts through out the year.

September

My great grandma has an awesome dog.

October

I decided to baby sit my cousins again this year-- one night every other week while my aunt & uncle bowl. This actually started in September but I don't get to take a lot of pictures between playing Sorry or Hide & Seek.

November

Voted. Polling place=jr high school.

December

Yep, still knitting.

Not much happened in my life this year. Got a wii, need to get a new car, made friends, lost friends, took my cat to the vet, got new glasses, knitting, eating sandwiches, etc, etc.

Not everyone is happy with their Christmas gifts. Oh well.

I found some beads at the thrift store. By some I mean quite a few. For only one dollar!

They are those kiddy triangle kind. I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but after a lot of indecision at the store, I had to have them.

No post for a while because I could not get on line from my computer for a week! Ridiculous. And not much to say at the moment other than we finally got real snow! There are only two things I can think of that I don't like about snow: 1.) driving in it (or should I say sliding) 2.) seeing (stray) cat paw prints in my driveway or the parking lot at work. Sad.

I took advantage of the colder weather to work on the scarf I am knitting and well... I messed it up. So now I have to find someone who knows how to knit to help me, someone with actual skill and knowledge. I'm pretty bummed out about it.

A few notes from Christmas!

dinner was ok, when I put some ham on my plate it looked like a heart (aka the only reason I took/am posting this picture)

I put a bow on my snapple

This was pretty much one of the best things I got. It's a stuffed animal that was at my grandma's my whole life, and I guess now that she's 91 she decided to give it to me. Which was nice of her, if not a little bit of a...sad reason. I'm not sure if she made it, but it's definitely handmade. I'm really glad to have it.
